Last night I went to bed only hearing about Norm Van Lier's passing. I wake up this morning to see on SportsCenter that Johnny "Red" Kerr died at the age of 76 after battling prostate cancer.
Kerr was the Bulls' first head coach and long time announcer whose emotional calls of the game helped make basketball really interesting to me. That and the whole dust storm Michael Jordan cooked up before every home game.
The passing of a pair of Bulls legends is just another reminder that life is short and death is real.
